Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am pretty sure they are both correct

Now tagless for your comfort.

There's a brand called Justin's that makes a chocolate hazelnut spread with only a couple teaspoons of sugar per serving and it is delicious! We eat it all the time in my house.

Burrell, Justin's is the BOMB. I get the packets of peanut butter with honey and eat them after roller derby practice on the way home. Because I can EAT ALL THE FUD after skating and that takes the edge off.

Laura, I really hope he can sort himself out and figure out what he wants to do. It sucks. You did what you could for him and it's up to him to do the rest.

Ginger, I love City! I took a summer course on science fiction when I was 13 and I that was the first time I got to read some really awesome stuff from the golden age.

Not javachik

My black kitty Java is into kidney disease, and I've got to get ringers solution, drip lines, and syringes and start doing the subcutaneous fluids thing with him. He's gotten so unhappy with an almost insatiable thirst. That should help.

I got some the claddagh ring done today...dick littering done today...decluttering done today. I'm amused and am going to leave those. It's the voice recognition.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Vlad likes to yowl at the walls and then jump up them. There is nothing there we can see. Doesn't stop me from glaring at those spots on the walls and telling whatever is there to SETTLE DOWN.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Milo runs around the house like he's being pursued by a bear, a lot. Usually in the early mornings. I reckon he has an ongoing rivalry with a house spirit.

He also stands guard over the corners where, I assume, there are mice under the floorboards. But that just makes me feel all protected.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

May the subq fluids provide relief to The Cat Java.

The not-typoes are indeed fun.

Wow Laura. I can't imagine how hard that must be on you. Its hard enough to let go when they come of age, but its got to be way harder to let go when they are making stupid decisions. :( I hope he gets himself together soon.

My black kitty Java is into kidney disease, and I've got to get ringers solution, drip lines, and syringes and start doing the subcutaneous fluids thing with him. He's gotten so unhappy with an almost insatiable thirst. That should help.

I had to do the subcutaneous fluids thing with my cat back in Maine years ago. Most of the time she hated it, but one day I spent a long time cuddling with her and soothing her before quietly slipping the needle in. She was so calm and we were so comfy that we both fell asleep. I awoke with a start to see a huge fluid bubble under her skin, she'd gotten about 3 times the prescribed amount! I panicked, of course, and called the vet. They told me it was no big deal. Which made it ok to giggle as my cat tried to walk around with a freakishly large fluid bubble making her all off kilter. It took the better part of a day to shrink. By the way, Isabella is still happy and healthy more than 5 years later. She lives with my ex-husband.

I got some the claddagh ring done today...dick littering done today...decluttering done today. I'm amused and am going to leave those. It's the voice recognition.

I love voice recognition. Its especially fun to make it guess what my husband is saying. He has a strong Dutch accent.

Thanks for the well wishes for my mom, it seems to have helped! Full update in Natter.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Good news, Callaluna.

Our wings are not tired.

Great to hear, Callaluna. Continued ~ma.

We may have a solution for the eldest. You know how when we were kids there was always the "cool" aunt and uncle, or neighbor; they were a zillion times more awesome than the parental units. Well, his aunt and uncle are super cool. Rastafarian with hair below their butts. Also super loving and responsible and are ready willing and able to take him in and guide him to a better path. They have a toddler, but he is really good with kids so that is fine. Not sure how he will deal with the vegetarian food. S is a wonderful cook. He makes all kinds of great island food, and natural fruit wines! He also has a strict meditation schedule and feels strongly that he can help him find his way.

It is a loving and safe place for him. S also has an extensive library and can discuss at length any subject, both of which will appeal to my son. The only thing I want to get is a time commitment from him. They are in Fort Lauderdale so it is too easy for him to walk a couple blocks to a bus line and be outta there.

Feeling more hopeful anyway.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart
