We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Callaluna, I didn't know any of that. Thank you. I love learning new things from buffistas. I probably wouldn't even know what cookie butter is if I didn't shop at Trader Joe's.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I love speculoos, but I had no idea that there was a spreadable form! I'll have to look for it in the import aisle of the grocery store as I've never seen it in the aisle with PB and Nutella.

So, it's like cookie dough?

Can I have some ~ma for my friend T's dad? I just found out that he is having bypass surgery on Tuesday.

No, not like cookie dough. More like peanut butter that got into a fight with a gingerbread man and lost. The spice mix for speculoos is like a milder form of gingerbread. Kinda.

Always Anti-fascist!

Amyth, it's an investment, but I hope you love it. I would say as much as I do, but that might be unpossible.(It's probably good that you won't be running into Ray Cole's wake for a while.(I remember the save our show campaign where the head of programming, who had a myriad of issues and got fired said "Yes, I've heard from all 250 devoted Wire fans."(I hope he's had a lot of time to think better of that. Dick.) I was thinking that was skin stuff so I was like "People want their skin to smell like chocolate...rock on."

Interesting. I wonder if I go to TJ's, will they let me try it. I don't eat enough sweets to make it useful unless I'm making a batch of something. I'm the weirdo who has to throw out pints of ice cream because they get all gross and crystally because I eat it 2-3 spoonfuls at a time.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

It is, surprisingly, not terribly sweet, particularly if you eat it like I usually do, which is to spread it thinly on toast.

I had wondered where the idea came from.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I actually find it too sweet. Not for an occasional bite but I donated the remainder of my container to my boss. I find a lot of things too sweet for anything but occasional eating.

Oddly, I do eat more sweet stuff as occasional things now because my boss also loves to bake (but not keep the results) and she's likely a full sugar baker. But she's good.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

The TJs dark chocolate cookie butter candies are delicious, but I bet Calla's homemade ones put them to shame. Wow man, game changer.

I have been known to use the TJs butter, along with almond meal for a bit more protein, in those homemade energy bars that Kat linked to awhile back.
