I can't remember the last time I ironed something. AIFG!
'Our Mrs. Reynolds'
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
DH irons. I don't. He does a fantastic job. When I asked him where he learned, he said he did a search and found a website for trans women that really nailed the process in a way he could totally understand. I wish we still had it bookmarked because the blog was totally charming.
Owen told me today that he thinks he's asexual. I picked him up from basketball practice and we were talking about the boys on the team. The subject of girlfriends came up and I asked him if he liked a girl. "No," he said. I asked him if he liked a boy. "No. I think I'm asexual."
I paused and asked him what that meant. He said, "It means I don't have any romantic interest in boys or girls."
He hasn't hit puberty yet but I've been suspecting this for a while. Liv announced her first boyfriend in the second grade. She loves boys.
I think our iron is only used to pop dents out of wood.
I will clean bathrooms
I will not vacuum - so there is only one rug in the house.
And if some one would hang up my clothes -- I'll put the rest away...
so I will do dishes, sweep floors, feed the cats, do the laundry, grocery shop , cook sometimes,
not crazy about cleaning the liter box
dusting I sometimes do because you should...
someone else can change the bed . or at least help
I think our iron is only used to pop dents out of wood.
Love this.
I loath housework of every kind.
Ouch. Right there with you.
I hate scooping litter boxes, but I don't mind dumping and refilling. I confess to only disinfecting them when it is warm enough to have the garden hose hooked up because I hose the NAST away then spray with bleach based cleaner, then dry in the sun. There are a ton of things I don't mind doing elsewhere that seem like pure drudgery at my own home. I don't mind cleaning bathrooms, for one.
One task I love is opening the windows on the first warm day of spring, and going after all the woodwork with Murphy's Oil Soap.
I can wash a small car with two buckets of water.
I don't mind mowing the lawn if I can use a lightweight electric mower.
I hate putting my own laundry away, but I don't mind putting someone else's on hangers (I'm willing to fold but you may not like the results because I don't have the ability to be detail-oriented with matching seams up).
I like yard work. I haven't been able to do much this year, and I miss it.
I think I like vacuuming because I can see the physical results, even if they are horrifying. I can dump out that little cannister and say "oh merciful Zeus. 5 minutes ago all that crap was in my rug. And now it's not."
Owen is the most self-aware and coolest dude around,
Owen is not alone, if that is the case. It took me considerably longer to realize it.
