My sinuses are being evil. Breathing hurts and I don't like it.

Thrive to spite them

I also got my hair cut today. Well more like reshaped. I'm late to the fauxhawk party but that's kinda what I'm rocking. I got the stylist to do the back and sides at a 3 setting on clippers. The way she cuts it -if the hair stands up there's a dip in the middle, it's there for a reason somehow it makes my hair lay right.

I think this summer I'm going to go for a 3 setting clipper all over.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Because sometimes UPS does this bullshit thing where they deliver it as far as your city but then don't bring it to your house and instead take it to the post office, where, if your post office is anything like mine, it takes another 3 days to MAYBE get delivered. And the thing is, if you even have the option at checkout to select your method of delivery, when you pick UPS, they don't tell you that you really just chose the unholy incompetent union of the UPS and the local post office.

I ran into this issue at Christmas. I was NOT happy.

Regarding getting a cleaning person. I looked into it when we first bought this house. We had the house cleaned professionally before we moved in and then asked for a quote to wash the hardwood floors, and all of our teeny kitchen and teenier bathroom and were quoted $160. I don't know if that is a reasonable quote or not, but it's just not doable for us even on an every other week basis. I should probably look into getting a quote from someplace else just to see.

sj, I had to pay a bunch to get an "initial" cleaning, which in theory was deeper than the usual ones (I'm pretty sure they were here longer than usual, too), but after that it's $120 for a once a month cleaning. I kind of expect that if I did twice a month, it would be more total but less per time, because it wouldn't get as bad in between. And I have a three bedroom townhouse with 2.5 bathrooms...and this is a "green" cleaners (I don't care, but figure it's probably better for the cleaning people?) who is probably not the cheapest. Check into it! Even having it done once a month is awesome. She doesn't really deep clean, but she does the microwave and the counters and dusting and vacuuming and all the bathrooms, and washes the floors.

I just got another tracking update for my "guaranteed delivery by Friday" package. It's now 100 miles away. Considering the time it'll take to get it here, get it processed through the local FedEx office, get it on a truck, and get it to my door, I'm not optimistic.

meara, the quote wasn't for the initial cleaning (I don't remember what that cost), but they used the inital cleaning to guesstimate how much a twice monthly cleaning would cost. This was not a green cleaner, but I did request that they only use baking soda, vinegar, and magic erasers (only for really tough areas) because my asthma can't really handle cleaning products, even days after they've been used.

Hil, does guaranteed mean there on time or your money back?

I don't think so. It just says, "Meals are shipped every Monday ensuring delivery no later than Friday." I'll contact them if I don't get it by Friday.

I agree with meara, once a month really is worth doing.
