I've got a job interview over Skype this afternoon, so I need to at least clean the parts of my living room that will show in that camera view.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Hil, I had a Skype interview once, and my desktop is in the basement. Right before the interview was shceduled to start I realized that you could see the Costco-sized package of paper towel and toiler paper across the room. I had to grab a throw and hide them.
I hope the interview goes well, Hil.
Good luck, Hil! I had a Skype interview recently (for my new job) and I put my laptop on a TV tray in front of a blank wall. It worked well!
I've got a couple of different places where I can put my laptop where all they'll see in the background is blank wall and a closed door, but for either of them, I want to at least get the clutter off the floor around the area, just in case that can be seen.
Good luck with your interview Hil.
I had my dentist appointment. I like these people SO Much better the hygenist was shocked they didn't do a full mouth series at the other place. Plus they have the sonic cleaning deal so it didn't take as long.
There's good news and not so good news. Good news I'm not going to lose any teeth in the immediate future. Bad news is there are 2 cavities between 2 teeth that need to be addressed and I have periodontal issues that need to be fixed. And all my old filings need to be replaced at some point. The perio treatment is a laser thing, costs $56 for the whole mouth, insurance won't cover it. There's a new treatment for filings that doesn't include a drill, insurance doesn't cover it and it would cost $500 for both teeth. But not drilling.
And while my fillings need to be replaced it's not an immediate thing it can be done at some point.
So now I have to read up on ICON and figure out if that is a good choice for me (I'm thinking the lack of drilling is worth it).
Interview ~ma, Hil!
....I need to have more people in my life. I'm going to start going out and doing things. As much as I tend to prefer to sit alone in my house and live via the internet, I really enjoy seeing people face-to-face sometimes too. And I want to do more interesting stuff.
Oh, this is me too. Except for doctor's appointments and grocery store runs, I could easily never leave the house.

You have a blank wall? Whoa.

That's good to know. I had a between-teeth cavity filled and it took drilling out and basically re-creating half a tooth. I was Not Pleased. I prefer to keep the original equipment whenever possible. That dentist didn't do a very good job with it, either, and my current dentist had to fix it. If I ever get another one, I'll ask about this new thing.
I am eating pizza. I may eat the whole pizza.
The Icon procedure can only be done on teeth that haven't previously been filled.
So all of the replacement fillings will have to be done the old fashioned way but at least I can do this. It's not cheap but I think I'll do it just because of my dental anxiety.

I'm glad there's a plan moving forward, askye.
Working at home has made me much more of a homebody. I need to fix that.
