I'm not a good judge, because I have a high pain tolerance and, at this point, a high tolerance of medical procedures. I didn't think it hurt that much without the lidocaine, but an hour of someone pressing down as hard as she could on my hip got extremely uncomfortable. Also, I think she broke something in my knee.
