Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ugh. Went on a date tonight. A third date. She seems cool, but I guess maybe the chemistry is just not there? I dunno--end of the date I offered her a ride home and she said she wanted to walk, we hugged and I left. Sigh. Why is dating so freaking hard??

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Grades submitted. Three emails so far: one "Can I please have a C?" email from someone who had checked his exam score but not his semester grade, and didn't realize that I had already rounded his grade up by the one point needed to get the C; one "Are you sure my grade is correct?" email that I didn't quite understand; and one email from someone's mother, which was easy to answer, because I'm not allowed to tell parents anything.

Four emails! I think my record is 9.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I just checked in on CJ's grades. Today he had two finals, but grades are already posted for 4 of his 5 classes - 2 A's and 2 C's with the final class an assumed C. Which means he doesn't have to worry about academic probation from ARP for another half semester.

I keep reminding him that next year, I won't have access nor do I wish to have access if it were available (I am so rediculously happy it isn't). The only reason I check no is to make sure academic probation isn't an issue. In college, he is on his own.

Must admit, I still boggle at how low my standards for grades are for him. If this were K-Bug, totally different story.

Thrive to spite them

I still have to mail Xmas presents. Mom said if I wrapped hers she'd wrap the others, but there's not much but hers to send. I want to get my dad and brother something else but I'm out of ideas. My brothers' gf just wants gift cards. I'd like to get Mom something else but I'm dealing with - I didn't get everyone a fair number/dollar amount of presents. This year kind of sucks.

I got socks for Mom and Brother's GF. And I was at the store trying to make a left turn and then realized it wasn't going to happen so I made a right and went to the Habitat for Humanity ReSTore and looked at some cool furniture I have no place for and got some shelf bracekts I've needed for nearly 1 1/2.

And I found this - [link] and brought it home for a buck.

It reminds me of somehting and looks like it was homemade and - only a dollar!

Originally I was going to buy some little ceramic houses for part of the Christmas village thing I have going (I have a TARDIS keychain and I'm building a very not to scale Christmas village around that) but they wanted $5/per house.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

For those who might be interested (looking Michigan-ward), here's Aladdin, the Mount Vernon Christmas Camel.

Looks like I'm continuing my tradition of somebody telling me I'm doing Christmas wrong every December. It would be nice to be able to get through this month without it, but I guess it's not to be.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

You're doing Christmas wrong?! Merciful heavens, save us all from stupid pseudoChristians who don't want to admit that Christmas isn't all that important to everyone on the planet.
