Get up...get up, you stupid piece of... What did you do that for? What's wrong with you? Didn't you hear a word he said? All of you! You think there's someone just going to drop money on you?! Money they could use?! Well, there ain't people like that. There's just people like me.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Thanks for all the rejoicing. I was feeling kind of discouraged, because my red blood count is still down, and I'm still getting transfusions.

I seem doomed to work my way through all the known side effects of the everolimus/exemestane combo. My feet started swelling painfully a few weeks ago, which was one reason they went ahead and did the PET scan. Swollen feet is a known side effect, but there was the possibility that the swelling could be from cancer spreading to an organ.

The neuropathy in my feet is getting painful enough that it's making my insomnia (known side effect) much worse. They suggested Lyrica, the drug we known and loathe from the fibromyalgia commercials ("I found out that muscles are attached to nerves....") a month or so ago. It wasn't that bad then, but I think I'll ask about it tomorrow. Its known side effects include life-threatening allergic reactions, suicidal thoughts, even more insomnia (or sleepiness) and possibly more swelling. So far, I've escaped the rain of toads.

Anyway, it's been rather dreary, so I hope today's news means there's a chance I could get my life back for a while at least.

I hope y'all know that you're my rock in all this.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

This is pretty fucking amazing, Ginger.

Here's to your next medication's side effect being something along the lines of "indigestion may feel like an orgasm" or "strangers may walk and give you flowers."

Ginger, Lyrica has been fantastic for me. I know everyone is different so that is just a data point of one. I'm with Trudy on the potential fantastic side effects.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

May Lyrica work for you, Ginger, and also give you strangers with flowers.

Thrive to spite them

I hope Lyrica works for you Ginger.

I made it close to half way through my shift before I had to go home. I just couldn't. The pain is different, instead of a knife stabbing me from below it's now a knife through my kidneys.

I did pick up my computer, I felt bad but they've had it a week and the system will get fussy and try to think it's abandoned if I wait too much longer. The internet speeds worked as expected.

Until I came home. I ran speedtest.net tests 6 times so far, the best was 40 mbps but everything after that has been 1 or 2 mbps and that's with the computer hardwired to the modem.

So I don't know what to do. I run the speed test on my chromebook and wirelessly I'm getting 80ish mbps.

It's not the modem or the router and they whole computer was checked over and tested. So I don't know what to do except go back and see if they have any ides or maybe can run a few more tests or have someone come out to the house so I can show them.

Always Anti-fascist!

Ha, ha, excellent side effects, Trudy.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm having similar problems with Comcast internet. I'm getting speeds of around 4 Mbps, when I'm paying for 60-120 Mbps. That's on a wired connection. Wireless barely works at all. The first tech I talked to basically chewed gum and yawned at me. The second one, today, talked real fast and was nigh incomprehensible, but he was negatively impressed with the speed test, enough to schedule a technician to come out on Sunday to fix it. He promised it would be fixed before the guy left. Yeah, that's what they promised the last time. On va voir. I'm buying my own router and modem, should have done a long time ago.

Thrive to spite them

I know it's not Comcast (although I blamed them first) because my Chromebook gets blazing fast speeds. So it's my computer.

Iw as going to try and play hearthstone to see how that worked, but I changed phones as well and have an Authenticator key on my account. When you change phones it messes with the way Blizzard reads the codes. I can't log into my account to change anything because it wants an authenticator code (which I can't supply) and their customer service is down for whatever reason.

My day sucks.
