Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm meeting an OK Cupid guy for dinner tonight. So, of course, my sinuses have decided that this will be a great day to just completely freak out.
I use Seche base and top coat. As long as I actually remove the polish at the first sign of chipping, doesn't weaken my nails. Zoya's Remove is good but I just use acetone cut with glycerine. I use the tub and it's fast and I wash and moisturize right after.
I'm considering canceling with the OK Cupid guy. My head is hurting so much, and I'm dizzy, that I don't really think I'll able to carry on much of a conversation.
Just canceled. I can't even walk without feeling dizzy.
Hil, I say go with your gut and cancel.
I should have gone with my gut yesterday and take another day to recover. This morning I was in PAIN so I had to take the strong stuff and I'm not at work. luckily the pain meds are keeping me from freaking out that I'm going to get fired (irrational but still there).
Will came over last night to check on me and we watched Princess Bride. He loved it! I knew he would but it was cool to see him enjoying it. His favortie part was Andre the Giant.
Thanks, Cass. I was using Sally Hansen, but it's a fairly new bottle and it's just gloppy and not very smooth.
Strix, if your nails peel off in layers like onions after you wear nail polish, you're allergic to the formaldehyde in the formula like I am. (Or maybe it's the toluene.) My nails are always thin and weak, but they don't peel unless I wear regular polish.
Mine peel whether or not I wear polish, but I am wearing it a lot now -- combatting a life-long nail-biting habit.
I just did mine last night, so when this starts to chip, I'll just give them a good buffing and use some strengthener for a week. I have a shitton of heavy-duty cleaning to do (like, cleaning with bleach water every baseboard and door in the whole house) and I try to use gloves for a lot of it, but I'm not doing to use gloves for everything.
Buffing is the one things that cannot happen to my nails. Thins my already weak nails.
My period starting explains why I feel like crap.
