Teppy, if you're not used to doing your own manicure and are worried about chipping, hit up a nail salon and get a shellac manicure. It will last for at least a week to ten days without chipping. And the hand massage that usually accompanies a manicure may help you to relax.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
If I had planned better, I would have done that, but I am swamped with work right now (in retrospect, this was the worst week to schedule the photoshoot), so I'm just going to use this as an excuse to not do dishes tonight.
If your nails are short, the more neutral color will look better on your hands and be more forgiving of any smears - not to mention show less chippiness in days to come.
I don't think I even own pink nail polish, so it's full-on Ready For Bed Red (not the actual name of the polish). And I looked at other photos from this studio, and the red looks really good.
And honestly, I'll probably remove the nail polish tomorrow night. I'm not used to having my fingernails a color, and it just looks weird to me. I didn't even paint my fingernails for the wedding.
I really am a feral editor lady. Sheesh. But my toenails look killer.
"I love my feral wife."
Adorable. You two, I swear.

Heh. Wait until you see us as Lana and Pam (from Archer) for Halloween. Tim has Lana's outfit just NAILED. It's kind of amazing. (I, to no one's surprise, am so lazy that I'm not attempting to re-create Pam's office attire, and I'm just wearing a white tank top and grey yoga pants to be Fight Club Pam. I can put my hair up like hers and tape my knuckles. Boom. Done.)
Teppy, bring the polish with you, and if it has chipped maybe they will touch it up for you.
Oh, duh. I was planning on touching it up last minute before I head out the door, but I didn't even think to throw it in my bag. (See? I really am feral.)
I've never painted my toe nails (one has to be able to reach one's toe nails comfortably) and it's been decades since i've painted my fingernails. I don't think makeup has touched my face since the last century (I love that phrasing). Possibly since my wedding.
I should just shave my head and be done with anything that involves more than a washcloth altogether.
I'm just going to use this as an excuse to not do dishes tonight.
It's a fabulous one. I hope work eases up a bit soon.
If you have time, stop by the drugstore and pick up a quick dry topcoat. If you have to touch up on the go, it will help speed the process along and smooth out the polish.
