beth, best medical care possible~ma for your sister, and strength~ma for you and the rest of your family.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Oh, beth, much ~ma to your sister! That's so scary.
Lots of health~ma to your sister beth.
So, I'm not changing therapists. Turns out the one I was supposed to start seeing doesnt' take my insurance. The office manager was trying to be helpful about the out of network stuff - but the visits would be too expensive. The co pays right now aren't that great for me. It was really frustrating and the only other person who takes my insurance has a wait list so who knows how long that will take.
On the other hand I found a really good mechanic. I passed the inspection, he told me he doesn't see too many 1998 Honda Accords in Vermont so he guessed I was originally from out of state. My tires need to be rotated (they are snow tires I never got them changed) and there is leak he can't tell where it's coming from but he thinks it's a valve thing. So next week I'm going in for tire rotation and the valve replacement.
He also fixed the leak I had in my tire and didn't charge me for that. So now I have a mechanic.
Tomorrow is a dentist appointment, it's kind of onerous task week this week.
I just need to call Comcast and tell them I found a splitter on the OUTSIDE of the house and ask if that falls under their free work or not. And if not how much will it cost for them to take the splitter out and run a single line into the house. If I could figure out how to do it myself I would.
And in slightly frustrating news I found the perfect messenger style purse - not too big, not too heavy and I liked the style. Then I saw the price $150 at Marshall's. I'm not sure why I want a messenger bag, especially since they don't seem to be "on trend" the kind of satchel style seems to be the main look. The ones I'm looking at wouldn't easily fit into my locker at work, but I still want one.
$150 at MARSHALLS? What the fuck.
Yeah I noticed this summer that the Marshall's and TJ Maxx carries some higher end brands. I saw a purse that had two security devices on it and thought that was weird, until I saw the price was around $200.
I'm blanking on the brands but I know there are some higher end stuff. I don't know if it's all Marshall's that is like this or only the ones around here. There's money in the area if you count people with vacation homes in Stowe and Canadians that come down to shop and save. I would assume that's the demographic.
Unfortunatley they are short on plus sized clothes and I really need some pants for work. The TJ Maxx's is slightly better in the plus size selection when it comes to outer wear but they still carry price handbags.
Much health~ma for your sister, Beth.
I had a phone interview for a job nearby. When I asked what they were looking for in a candidate they parroted back my description of my approach to the job from 10 minutes earlier. So that's promising, I guess.
Good news Calli. Fingers crossed.
My sister interviewed for a new job this week. She really needs to get out of the toxic environment she's in now.
They asked for salary reqs before her interview and didn't seem to have an issue with it, so that would be nice (not that what she indicated is particularly high, but it's better than she makes now and would ease things a lot for her.)
Aside from feeling positive about the interview itself, at the end of it the guy looked at the references she provided and laughed. He knows all three of them both personally and professionally - one of them he said he speaks to several times a week and another he had lunch plans with next week. So that's gotta be good.
Hang in there, Beth. This will get less scary.
So much ~ma for your sister, Beth.
