Faith: A kid. Angel's got a kid. Wesley: Connor. Faith: A teenage kid born last year. Wesley: I told you, he grew up in a hell dimension. Faith: Right. And what, Cordelia spent her last summer as… Wesley: A divine being. Faith: Uh-huh. Can I just ask--What the hell are you people doing?

'Why We Fight'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Pix, what a loss - for your family and the world.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Went to my uncle's funeral today and then TCG took me to a movie to distract me.

Mini rant: Dear relative, when trying to say something nice about how well you think I'm doing, maybe not start with "your grandmother was so upset when you were born."

Wow, yeah, no. When they were passing out tact, your relative thought they said "tacks" and ran to get a hammer, eh?

Always Anti-fascist!

Wow, sj, are we related? I mean, I know he was going for "who knew?" but to be honest, lots of newborns make me feel like that.

Plus, I just hate the whole, "You're doing so well. We're so proud of you." from people who hardly know me at all.

Perhaps posted elsewhere, I've done a lot of skimming, but thought that you all might enjoy British Actors Reading British Poems in honor of National Poetry Day (which was Thursday). Include Benedict Cumberbatch, Alan Rickman, and Helen Mirren.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm very sorry, Pix. Condolences to you and your family.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry for your loss, Pix. At the same time grateful that you had such a beautiful woman in your life. Also, yay LA Marathon!! That was the last one I did, 11 years ago. Took me a little over 8 hours (but I finished), and hung up my sneakers.

sj, erikaj, I sometimes wonder how you manage to not punch people at times. eta: it would serve to let them know exactly how well you are doing!

Hoping that the endo finds easily fixable issues, Ginger. My sister goes every 6 months because of issues she has. She seems to think it is no biggee.

My plans for departure to Florida this morning got put aside for at least a couple days. Someone lifted a sheet of checks from my desk apparently and cashed one for near $3K. The person's name apparently matches a 90 year old lady in Pompano Beach, so likely identity theft as well. So I didn't really want to deal with all the communications with the bank in setting up another account and so forth on the road.

The check itself was printed and different fonts were used for the person's name, date, amount numbers, and amount written. 4 different fonts! Not sure what software prints that way. It was the first thing I noticed when I looked at it. Ugh, bother.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Pix, I'm so sorry. She sounds like an amazing woman who live a very full life.

Laura, that sucks. Just more bullshit to deal with. I'm sorry.
