I caught her on a park bench, making out with a *chaos* demon! Have you ever seen a chaos demon? They're all slime and antlers.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I have a phone interview tomorrow, an interview (the second one with this university) on Thurasday, and now an interview with a WI college a week from this Weds. After a worrisomely long time without anyone calling, this is a bit of a relief. (Now I just have to get past the interview stage to actual offers.)

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Good luck, Calli!

Remember how I interviewed with that big company in Seattle last year? Well, I'm back in the interview loop with them. First phone interview is on Friday morning with a guy I met last year. Here we go again.

I'm going to a conference Wednesday and bought a couple of dresses. Which one do you guys like best? Also, what type of shoe????

Kensie sleeveless mod-style (in buff, not black): [link] Ann Taylor short sleeved edgy striped dress (got this in the store for like $45!!!!): [link]

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

First thought: Both dresses are awesome and you should have both AND a job wherever you want.

Second thought: I have clearly been going to the wrong kind of conferences.

Thrive to spite them

Interview~ma for everyone!

And pretty dresses.

So my supervisor made a sexist comment kinda joke and I didn't call him out directly by saying "That's not cool" but he asked me to reorganize a section that's for clearance and orphan products and instead of just stopping with "I thought you would do the job well" he added stuff about my women's intuition and being a woman or something. He was sort of joking. (I think it can be hard to tell, he's Polish sometimes he has translation issues).

So I told him he'd picked the wrong person for decorating style since I don't have that, but I can make the display look better.

I fumed a bit about it, I wasn't mad as much as frustrated because I really hate putting up with this shit. So I told the manager on duty who said that wasn't cool and he would talk to my supervisor.

I think it was supposed to be a light hearted joke and it fell flat.

The supervisor has also been telling me I'm doing really well at my job and he knows that when I get more experience I'll be able to perform better and he has that expectation so it's not like he thinks I'm just good at rearranging stuff and making it look nice. If that's what I thought then I would be extremely pissed and would have called our HR hotline.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Interview-ma for Calli and Glam!

Both dresses are cute, but #1 seems more drink and dance night, although it IS really nice. I like stripey dress for a conference.

UGH, askye! I would be all FEMINIST HULK SMASH! Grr...

Thrive to spite them

The positive side to that is all the co workers I vented to were male and they all said P shouldn't have said it and was wrong. And it felt sincese from them, not like they were placating the irrational woman.
