Our wings are not tired.

Poor V indeed. I hope that mother and child are both resting comfortably now.

We'll gently nudge mom in that direction, but pushing would be counterproductive. I'm thrilled to finally know him. Thanks FB for providing the method of introduction. I doubt he ever would have called or showed up. This gave him an option that wasn't as difficult.

Baby arrived, and V is doing fine!

He came out at 1:51a on 8/31. He's 9 pounds 1 oz and is doing great! Thanks everyone for their support and prayers!

It's their first! The Papa is hoping he becomes a great south paw relief pitcher with a wicked fast ball.

omnis, congratulations to your friends!

TCG's fun holiday weekend has been cut short by an awful stomach bug. Poor guy.

Thrive to spite them

I had Friday Saturday and Sunday off so kind of a long weekend. Plus I get regular pay and holiday pay for today.

Also I really need to put on my big girl pants and call the dentist. I haven't had teeth cleaned in 4 years. I'm paying for dental coverage but my dental anxiety keeps me from calling. I'm anxious about psi possibly some thing wrong that will be expensive to treat and being lectured for not going sooner.

I wish I could get out of my head sometimes

Always Anti-fascist!

Also, dentists do nag. I don't know what good they think it does, but they do.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

What a weird weekend. Yesterday I was awakened by Tom freaking out about weevils and throwing all our dry goods away. Today I was awakened by a huge crack of thunder/lightning and our tv fried. Sigh. Hopefully we can get it repaired. We did get a second tv in the meantime though, since it was something we'd planned to do anyway.

On the bright side, our kitchen cabinets are totally cleaned out and we did some rearranging of our front room.

I have a dentist appointment - the office is right above my GP so I know how to get there. It's not unitl October 9, that wasn't there first available but it was the first that worked with my schedule.

Initially I called a chain because it's pracitcally across from work and they take my insurance, but the first visit is x rays and consultation only. Then you have a cleaning Then you have a "treatment plan" follow up visit. And then I looked up online reviews for the chain as a whole, seems they push expensive treatments and offer lines of credit pay for it.

So I went iwth the local guy. Will take longer and it's one dentist in an office but hopefully I'll get my teeth cleaned and there's nothing really wrong.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh dear, Nora, but you're right about looking on the bright side.
