[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Anyone have favorite online retailers that have lots of brands and/or are cheap, besides Sierra Trading Post, Zappos/6pm, and Amazon?

thebookdepository.com, which offers free shipping worldwide (including Australia). It even promises to ship board games to Australia for free. Also fishpond.com.au, which also does free shipping and is currently my cheapest source for Doctor Who DVDs. Plus, prices update frequently, and I've captured many a bargain by timing my purchases.

I realise that last site may not be of much use to anyone else here.

Sorry, I should have been more specific--that sell lots of clothes and shoes and suchlike. (The book depository sounds like fun, but I pretty much exclusively do ebooks these days. Well, other than the travel guides. I decided I much prefer traveling with a paper guidebook)

Our wings are not tired.

I find I order clothes from JC Penny pretty often.

Ha! I am undaunted ,and can provide useless recommendations in this space as well! I buy clothes online from Ron Bennett: [link] Note that this is both an Australian retailer, and a purveyor of men's clothing.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

No ideas on the clothing front. I'm still trying to figure out what to do without Coldwater Creek.

Compassionately intolerant

Can I just say, BT, that Australian and NZ tv make me want to live in your hemisphere...a lot.

I _loved_ the most recent season of Masterchef so much...while I cannot bear the American version.

House Husbands, Winners and Losers, Serangoon Road, The Almighty Johnsons (now available on Syfy), Mr & Mrs. Murder...I can't get enough.

Do you have any favorite shows to recommend?

meara, in re: clothes online...I tend to not do a lot of shopping that way because I get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of choices, however, I find the search engine on the macy's dot come site to be super helpful in this regard. You can narrow things down to a ridiculous degree.

Being a short, round person who eschews patterns, prefers black and doesn't do polyester, it is a joy to go from 'cargo pants = 756 results' to 'pickyness = 6 results'.

Hee. I've never really thought of our TV as being that exportable. I'm afraid I don't watch much of it myself - about the only thing I watched on a network schedule this year was Orphan Black. (Which remains obstinately not Australian.)

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

We are going to Kid Weekend on the weekend of the Dr Who premiere, on my actual birthday. It was a quandary; thank god for DVR.

hip deep in pie

Meara, I haunt ASOS a lot. So much of their clothes are trendy in a forever 21 way, but there's some good stuff to be found. Not always cheap, but shipping is free and I've never been nabbed by customs.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sj, Coldwater Creek was bought and plans to open online later this year. Whether they'll still have the same quality of clothing, on va voir. In the meantime, have you looked at NorthStyle? I find them to be very similar.

I also love everything I've gotten from Duluth Trading.
