Don't worry, I'm not gonna start any sword fights. I'm over that phase.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Well at least the wraps were seriously whole grain - dark brown and stiff, and if the turkey and veggies inside had been less tasty, would have tasted like twigs. If that had been my meal to plan, I'd have gotten a second package of wraps so everyone could have two if they liked, used a whole head of lettuce in them, and skipped the pasta salad as well as skipping the corn.

I tend to fall back on the old food groups stuff I remember from health classes in public school ages ago. Protein? Check. Veggie? Check. Carb? Check. Dairy? Check. Fruit? Eh.... mind the food budget, serve a fruit for snack time.

I'm currently averaging about 250 incoming emails a day. I'm pretty good about not having ones that are unread, but that also because I aggressively use automated filters to move things into folders as they hit my inbox. Even with that I currently have about 600 emails in my inbox, and I just got it down to 20 about 4 weeks ago.

Just got a baby shower invitation. The gift registry is mostly Blu-ray Discs, and then REAL expensive baby carrier type things. Any off registry ideas of something you were so glad you got, but didn't realize you needed it? These are first time parents. I'd much rather give a practical gift than Frozen on blu-ray.

eta:

Ah, the Amazon gift registry was very slim, but the Toys R Us has a lot more options, not just toys! Also, it's a boy, if that helps with any ideas.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Isn't there some software you can put on a computer that blocks certain websites during hours? A friend of mine is having trouble getting her teenager off the Internet, like, ever.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Zenkitty, lots of 'em. This looks like a decent rundown: [link]

omnis, if there is an option near to them to buy a membership to a zoo, museum, aquarium or play space those are great gifts for new parents.

Thanks, amych! That's perfect.

I should have added wine to my gift registry. Not that I actually had a registry. Babies need so little. We used a bunch of onesies. I liked the super lightweight receiving blankets because the standard ones are too warm. The kids weren't really into toys for quite some time. Maybe vodka, for the parents.

Good suggestion, Sparky1! We went to the zoo a lot when the boys were little. As well as the other options. The zoo is so very distracting to all.

Oooh! I like that idea. I think they live close to the Santa Ana Zoo! Plus it gets them out of the house.

Love me some hive mind!
