Well I'm up here, and so is he. They had to shock him to get him back in rhythm, and he's improved some since then. But they're still very worried. The doctor hinted I would be a little in the way, but then he heard how far I'd have to come back. I will stay the night, and we'll see if he's getting better or worse.

I'm sitting here in the cafe trying to eat an omelet, tired after a few restless hours in a recliner. He's not really any better, and the doctor who called me is now on duty. She's talking about things like compartment syndrome and the like. He's not going to have any white blood cells of his own for a few days yet. I'm not going to be able to stay another night with what I've got, so I'm going to stay for a few more hours then go home and trust the universe to keep an eye on him till I can get back tomorrow.
