SJ & Askye, I heard a story on the radio or TV the other day. I can't find it. But I found this old NY Times article. It's about video conferencing with a therapist, rather than in-office visit. No clue how it works with insurance, or prescriptions, or anything. I only suggest it as a possible option. Thinking outside the box.
'Bushwhacked'
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Strix,
I have a pretty good idea of what you are going through. Peace and love and a whole lot of 'ma.
omnis, I keep being disappointed that the places linked on there don't do Washington. I would LOVE to be able to do therapy via skype!
Bonny may have some info on skype sessions - I believe she has done that in the past.
If TCG's job offers an Employee Assistence Program, it might well offer a small number of emergency therapy sessions at your home.
Moving equals not fun. May it not be as horrible as feared.
I see my psychiatrist via Skype. I really liked the one I was working with in DC, so when I moved, he said we could have Skype appointments. He sends my prescriptions to my local CVS with electronic prescriptions.
I've got a good friend in Allentown who I think you would like. I'll ask him if he's got any advice if that's okay.
Guys, thanks for all the kind thoughts and advice. I really appreciate it.
Thanks, Hil. I'll look into at.
WS, I think therapy in my home would be just too stressful, but thank you for the suggestion.
I must pack and pay bills. Where did I put those spoons?
Anyone have info on/experience with Buspar? I'd like to know what I'm getting into, here.
