I just had to walk down one flight of stairs to the lobby and I was hobbling like an wizened crone.
I always find down harder on me (esp knees - I'm only going to be 42 [TOMORROW], but they must have given me refurbished knees, 'cuz they feel 80 going down stairs some days). But yay for fun new cardio - next time you'll hurt less - thus more funner!
I went to Zumba at a new place (local public library!) on Saturday. Since I had never had this instructor before, I was a little slow to pick up changes, and one of the little older ladies encouraged me like she thought I'd never done it before. I thought it was adorable, because she was really uncoordinated (but determined and enjoying herself!) in her own Zumba-ing, but she worried about me! By the end of the hour a couple of the other ladies were coming up to me going, "You've done this before, haven't you? I can tell." I smiled politely and said thanks, but in my head I'm all, "That's right, beeyotches! Fat Girl can dance!" Of course, my first Zumba in a couple months, so Fat Girl can also limp a little by the end of the day!
Also, Princess Birthday Attention-Ho takes this opportunity to remind you that her Bday is tomorrow! Yay! (Y'know, in case the thing above was too subtle :).)
I wanna go out to lunch with smonster!

Just found this article (Headline: Study: Sunscreen Keeps Wrinkles Away):

Isn't this kind of old news? I don't feel like a scientific pioneer.
Epic, you are not giving yourself enough credit.
Cool. From now on, if anyone asks why I look young for my age, I'll say, "Sunscreen. My idea. You're welcome."
Gotta chime in with my current (and I dearly hope soon to be replaced) geeky fave--Goodrich v Mass Public Health--the gay marriage case in Massachusetts.
Thanks, meara. Totally looking that up.
My couple has not responded to the myriad suggestions I sent.
The ceremony is Tuesday morning, but I am not sweating it. Whatever they decide on, as long as it is written out in a way I can read, I'm okay.
Just call me "GoWithTheFlOfficiant."
Collected the Gray Cat from the kitty hospital. Vet said surgery was easy and damage to the eye was less than feared. The third eyelid, not the eyeball. He's okay. Lucky silly cat. He is not happy, and he is making everyone aware of it. Angry sad howly kitty. Cone of Shame. Can't go outside. If he must suffer, all will suffer. HOWL
HOWL.
My day got better. Turns out they went separately - M went home and I don't know what E did. My migraine abated, I feel less stupid, and I even managed to get a fair amount done in my half day. Plus, post-meeting there is less stuff on my plate. Yay.
Kudos to all of you active people!!
That's tough, Zen. Speedy healing to him, and patience to you.
Fred, I'm so sorry about Arthur. Wishing for the best possible outcome.
I hadn't realized that Griswold vs Conn had such lovely language:
Marriage is a coming together for better or for worse, hopefully enduring, and intimate to the degree of being sacred. It is an association that promotes a way of life, not causes; a harmony in living, not political faiths; a bilateral loyalty, not commercial or social projects. Yet it is an association for as noble a purpose as any involved in our prior decisions.
