Connie, you're a trooper, as is the Viking. A long day for both of you; may the results bring better news.
Hey, smonster, from one mostly lurker to another.
Calli, we have been opening a ton of new positions in my division, especially in e-learning; Uw-Madison is trying to put more of its classes online. If they pop another one, would you like me to link you? Also, a ton of new marketing positions, some mainly web design. If that's something you have experience in, I can link those, too.
Hi SailAweigh. Thanks! I've applied to one eLearning position at UW-Madison, and I'd be thrilled to apply to more of them. So, please, yes, link me up! I have some web design experience, but I think my strengths are more on the eLearning side of things.
Smiling at the thought of SailAweigh and Calli being near each other!
Here's a couple of the postings just released by our division; I'm not sure if either of them are quite in the ballpark of what you're looking for:
Senior Admin Program Specialist
Senior Marketing Specialist
Also, I spoke with Katie Duren, who is the director of Educational Innovation, and she says UW just got a 400 million dollar grant to put more of the dairy program courses online. She's hoping that we'll get the project (there are other EI departments on campus, but our Provost is pushing hard for us to handle all of it), so we may be adding a few more e-Learning specialists. She said she'd try to keep in mind I've got a friend looking for work in the field and let me know when the positions are going to post.
Thank you very much, SailAweigh. Sadly, my marketing skill aren't that strong, which especially sucks now that I'll be marketing myself. The admin program specialist position is kinda sorta in my wheelhouse, but it's stuff that I haven't really done in the past four or so years. I could probably bring myself up to snuff, though, as I may have some time on my hands in July. Anyway, I would love to work on eLearning for dairy programs. Cows FTW!
I am really hoping that the eLearning program for dairy involves some kind of virtual cow.

A cow avatar leading the learner through all the modules! According to Clark's eLearning book, avatars increase learning retention by ~20%, so there's a pedagogic reason even.
Gives new meaning to the term MOOC.

Latest social worker literally REEKS from some hideous perfume she probably bought after some article on "Having a Signature Fragrance"
Come on, Universe, you aren't even letting me write good material anymore.
