I was under the impression that I was your big comfy blanky.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hahaha, Laura, that's a great dream. I did not, in fact, wear a garter at my wedding. I also didn't wear a veil, though, I wore two incredibly fabulous kimonos that were my grandmother's wedding dresses, fifty years prior. I didn't throw anything, what with the whole patriarchy thing going on.

But if I were to, I would totally throw a Doc Marten.

Our wings are not tired.

I can only imagine what a beautiful experience it would be to wear a family heirloom for my wedding. I'd have to keep stroking myself or something! I've no doubt you were stunning.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Woo-hoo! That's great news, Fred! I'm glad it all worked out.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Wonderful news, Fred! Lots of healing~ma for the cats.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Then the absolute best part, (which happened right before my phone rang and woke me!) was that somehow she lost in excitement of the moment our instructions on the bouquet toss. She thought is was shoe, but under her magnificent gown she was wearing Doc Martens and tossed one of them. The "single ladies" scattered rather than getting conked on the head or jumping up and fetching the boot.

I'd have run for it. I already know Liese has excellent taste in Docs because we have the same pair.

Oh god being an adult is a full time job. So is having a job. And having family. And pets. Too many full time jobs. I'm so exhausted from it all. It's all mostly good things but there's a lot of them.

Energy~ma, Cass.

Oh Fred, that is wonderful news to read. I had been wondering how it was going. What a relief for your family!

Thrive to spite them

I had a nice day. I got comic books. Well trades - Saga and Rat Queens.

I couldn't find Rat Queens on the shelf so I asked about it and the guy's face lit up "oh yeah that's a good one, kind of a slow build (or maybe he said burn)".

I've seen Saga on my tumblr feed and I flipped through it. I looked at a couple other titles but I would have had to buy back issues so I'll just stick with this.

Our wings are not tired.

Two sane making moves on FB today. First I stopped following my SILs posts because she posts 6-10 times a day All Scripture All The Time. I think I will see her responses to other family member posts and she will be seeing my posts too. The last straw was the one man one woman marriage crap. I just accepted her friend request like a week ago and have regretted it often. The second sanity move was responding to the niece (another regretted friend acceptance). She was flipping out over a black orphan Annie. I balanced it by having sweet responses to a couple of her other posts. I think my response was measured and rational, although my mind was smacking her hard.

eta: and when rereading my post I noticed my old tag line and think I need to remind myself of this more often

Things better with niece. She responded that she was merely surprised by Annie. We continued to have a nice exchange about a couple other movies. I'm relieved because I want to have a good relationship with her. On SIL front I gave up on her 20 years ago. At least I have plenty of great family for balance.

Oh, Saga is good! I've been bumming amyth's copies off her, but I should really start buying the trades myself. Support the artist and all that.
