"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

askye, you don't sound good. Do you need your meds adjusted? Can you talk to your psychiatrist? Perhaps you'd be better off calling in sick (Saying you're throwing up is good. No one wants details.) and seeing if you can get some help.

JZ - May 28, 2014 5:14:02 am PDT #10988 of 30002
See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Seconding Ginger's throwing-up-excuse rec, askye. It sounds like you desperately need some time for self-care.

All good vibes to you and Hubby, Connie. My aunt underwent a similar procedure 15 years ago when it was seriously experimental and unproven, and it was rough and brutal but here she is, 15 years later, still in remission. All possible digits crossed and Viking gods appealed to.

Compassionately intolerant

~ma for all!

On the subject of hair, I have lots of grey and use henna to cover it. The combination I use works brilliantly to create what looks like natural highlights...much more natural than salon coloring...and it only costs me about $12 per year!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Second-thirding Ginger and JZ, askye. Your body's demanding help. I hope you do what you need to do. Vibing hard for you.

And for Hubby, Connie, and you, too.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

hello all! semi-lurking, but I wanted to pipe up about the thinning hair - mine's thinned a bi, especially in one spot; I've been advised to try Rogaine ... which you CAN buy at the drugstore (expensive, but not prohibitive).

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

askye, definitely speak with your meds management team, if you can. I would also suggest possibly going to urgent care. Even if you don't need hospitalization, it's better to stave it off than suffer. Also, are you taking any kind of sleep aid? I don't know what meds you're on, but my shrink has me on Lamictal along with a very low dose of Seroquel at night to help me sleep, otherwise I'm in the same boat as you with the terminal insomnia.

Belatedly, ~ma to Connie and husband, ~ma to erin_o in trying situations.

O gods yes, Sail, thanks for reminding me. Erin, all possible wisdom and patience for the stuff you're going through, familial and physical. My best thoughts are with you, too.

Also? Hi, Todd! Hi, Sail! Hello, everybodee! ::Kermit waves. disappears again::

Our wings are not tired.

Well, I guess I am headed to the ER. Bobby is driving Brendon to my office so I can take him there. The tooth situation did not get better it got worse. They switched to a stronger antibiotic and it got worse. Neck swollen, hard time swallowing, breathing, etc. I called Dentist, they said ER.

Not good.

brillig

In ever evolving news, the isolation that Hubby's going to be in is not going to be nearly as Boy in a Bubble as we were lead to believe. He's going to be able to have visitors within reason and wander the floor and visit the bookshelves in the lobby to see what's new. On the other hand, he has to have the 9 PM shot until they're done harvesting the marrow cells, which is making transportation a bitch. And his daughter left yesterday for a month-long yoga seminar in Bali so she can become a yoga instructor. I'm not sure why this has to be in Bali, other than "because we can." I think yoga in the mountains in early summer would be equally as wonderful.
