I think I've gotten Hubby to stop saying "I don't deserve you." I said to him once, "So that means I should leave you and find someone I do deserve?" Men of the world, this is not a compliment!
Pete has started saying something similar, and it drives me bugnuts. I know it comes from his own self-worth issues and depression, but that doesn't make it less aggravating to hear.
Sorry to jump into the middle of this with something totally unrelated, but I might be going to Hong Kong in a few weeks for some meetings about a potential new project that might also open up a few more opportunities for my company. For all sorts of reasons I can't even mention it elsewhere, and it's crazy making waiting to hear if it is happening and trying to account for what it might mean for my business.
Hong Kong! That's a huge deal, ND, and I hope things go as smoothly as possible.

I'm sure I will want some local contacts if this all happens. The initial trip would be probably a week long for meetings, but then if the whole project goes through I might be out there fora few weeks for installation and then possibly multiple trips back over the year after opening for maintenance.

Trudy, as suggested above I am taking the approach of expressing great concern that my friend is going to burn out with the ongoing stress of long term care on top of all her other stresses. Also I am insisting that she get mom to another doctor since this one obviously isn't taking a very serious situation seriously.

That's very exciting, ND! Good luck, or break a leg, or whatever's appropriate. ;). I do enjoy that sometimes there are things I want to say but not on Facebook or somewhere, but want to share (or vent), and this place is good for that.
