Remember a couple weeks ago when I asked about microfiber sheets, then concluded I might like them for winter sheets but wanted to stick with cotton for summer? Well, it turns out that the sheets I got were a bait-and-switch. In fine print above the bold 1500 THREAD COUNT EGYPTIAN COTTON says high strength microfiber yarns as soft as. I like 'em just fine. What's more, the cats like them. Harvey is now actually sleeping on the pillow I bought for him, instead of nudging me off my pillow. And Sammie will lie down on the sheets rather than the comforter if she gets to the bed before I make it.
I just really dislike the deception.
Fred, I hope the presentation went ok. Sorry about kitty.
Fred, I'm so sorry about Arthur.
I'm so, so sorry, Fred. Vibing for Arthur, and you and Hubs, and vibing hard that you make it through the presentation. It's so hard to choke down that huge distress and compartmentalize enough to power through work-related crap.
Fred, so much ~ma for a good solution for Arthur that he's willing to participate in. And best of luck to you for being able to function around your worry and distress.
Fred, I'm so sorry. Tons of ~ma for you and Arthur.
TCG and I went out to breakfast and then went to the garden shop to get more plants for the garden. When we got home my copy of Ocean at the End of the Lane was waiting for me. It's much smaller than I was expecting.
Thanks for kitty-thoughts.
Presentation went okay. The entire division was involved. We had to present developments in consumer protection law in a way that was entertaining and interactive. We went with a Hollywood Squares format. There wasn't enought time to get to my area of expertise, so I never had to explain anything.
(I wasn't the center square, by the way. I was upper left.)
I love how you anticipated the question that I was going to ask.
Well, yeah. Paul Lynde is center square.
ION, If anybody's been looking for a reason to visit San Diego, the pics of this hotel are making
me
look for a reason to pony up and spend a weekend 20 miles from home.

Fred, so sorry to hear about your kitty.
In regard to cats and the surfaces they like - at one point the carpet in my mother's bedroom had been badly stained and, rather than doing a complete recarpeting, they cut out the impossible-to-get-clean section and replaced it with some that ALMOST matched. Well, the cat LOVED that one little patch - she'd go in there and roll around and rub against that patch. Eventually, they decided it wasn't close enough and recarpeted the entire room ... thus ending the cat's love object.
