Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Oh I hate when I forget the bandaid allergy. Nasty stuff.

These were supposed to be "sensitive" so I assumed they were latex free, which they were not.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

These were supposed to be "sensitive" so I assumed they were latex free, which they were not.

That is a really stupid definition of "sensitive," then. (I'm not actually allergic to latex, as far as I know, but my skin definitely objects to prolonged contact with it.)

brillig

I have to use the fabric type bandaids, the plasticy ones kill my skin.

All is well that ends in pizza.

People without Buffistas also avoid the annoyance of people who point out that should be "fewer tiaras."

Fixed it.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm pretty sure I am not allergic to latex, but those bandaids bother my skin too. I always use the fabric ones.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'm allergic to the adhesive. The fabric ones seem to have the least irritating adhesive, but I can't leave them on too long.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm allergic to the adhesive.

Yep.

All in all, it would behoove Kraft to send out stickers or have retailers run them through the meat counter with a correct meat label and "Attn: Cheese!" and sell them on discount.

Our wings are not tired.

When I had a thing removed from my face the surgeon told me I didn't even have to have a piece of tape at all. He said just a dab of Vaseline would keep any debris out until a natural scab kept it protected.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

It's the adhesive that kills my skin, too. A gauze pad, held in place with a narrow gauze wrap, fastened with a bit of paper or silk surgical tape--gauze to gauze, never touching skin. If the wound is small enough, and not bleeding, I just cover with bacitracin cream and let it air.

Bonny, I'm glad you had such a good time.

It's my favorite holiday! It only comes three times a year--Half Price Candy Day!

But I hear that Jelly Bellies' CEO has a hate-on for transgender kids, so we are boycotting his candies--which (sob!) include candy corn. So not those, even at half-price.
