Harrow: You didn't have to wound that man. Mal: Yeah, I know, it was just funny.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

This morning, he ate something super-loud and slurpy for breakfast. It was really hard to control the murder impulse.

And now more fucking chewing.

What the fucking fuck did I do to deserve this misery?

Shouldn't have stepped on that ant in your last life, Sean.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Last night I dreamed that people were leaving corpses--or, sometimes, just the heads--in my home. I called the police, but they didn't believe me. It was a little disturbing.

The Colbert Report should be interesting tonight...

Finally watched last night because I am slow that way. I thought it was an excellent way to handle it. The Stephen Colbert of the Colbert Report isn't the person replacing Letterman. His closing shows are likely going to be more about him leaving, not about the future. sniff sniff I will miss the Colbert we know and love, but I am looking forward to seeing more of his talent revealed.

I'm sorry Sean. It is good to have an end date.

Sorry, Calli. I slept like the dead. I have been sleeping well for many years now but it still comes as a delightful surprise after decades of insomnia. It's like every morning I wake and think, WOW I slept great! Then again, I notice that it is beautiful weather pretty much every day in Florida. That is likely because I didn't move here until I was 30 and had a lot of crap weather before then. I never take for granted either good sleep or good weather and am grateful for both.

Compassionately intolerant

I didn't sleep much at all, but had a weird dream too!

I was attempting to do surgery with a group of people who were totally Grey's Anatomy angsty. For some reason, our surgical masks were nylons ala bank robbers.

At one point, a voice said, "It is so much easier than you are making it." I became lucid at this point and asked, "What's the easier way?!"

You guessed it. No reply.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

There's now a facebook page suggesting Sherman Alexie replace the Colbert slot on Comedy Central. Ha, wouldn't that be great? [link]

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I can walk again! I can sit again! I can stand again! I am so inexpressibly joyous that the blasted contrast dye is finally out of my hip joint. Ok, so it still hurts, but back to a reasonable baseline pain.

This tech rehearsal feels like a scene out of a Marx Brothers movie.
