I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's... depressing.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

brillig

I am regularly deeply grateful for Hubby's medicare on top of my insurance. Knowing everything is covered is bliss.

And the autofill keyboard on my tablet is nigh on miraculous.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Oh crap ginger, that sucks on so many levels! Someone better get that sorted for you posthaste, it's rage inducing how anti-patient our insurance system continues to be.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Ginger, that's appalling! I urge you to look into alternatives like programs, often through the manufacturers, that help defray costs.

Here's a story with a happy ending: I remember my MiL getting hit by the costs of chemo in a similar way. One month it was $300, the next it was $3000. My husband and I had to absorb the extra cost as she couldn't afford it. With the social worker's help we kept looking for alternatives, and the third month the manufacturer not only charged us $3 for the medicine, they reimbursed us for the previous month's costs.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Damnit, Ginger. I'm so sorry. And if beating your fists against the bureaucracy gets to be too much, I've got experience with insurance phone hell and I know there are other Buffistas willing to do phone battle as needed; just let us know if you need someone to give you a break and be your Kaiser phone proxy.
