Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

'The Message'

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2012: If the world doesn't end, I'm going to need a note

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. 2012--better luck next time.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Lenten gift exchange? That's so crazy it might just work.

I might feel more able to cope with extra stuff in a couple of weeks. I should at least know better if I'll be able to cope or not - things are particularly amorphous for me right now.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Oooh, that kind of has slacker built right into it. *insert smiley emoticon of doom* Mardi Gras is rather quick on the heels (originally typed that as hells, maybe should have left it that way) of Chrismakwanzakkuh this year and while I'm not tapped out, I also have two birthdays coming up at the end of January. My kids are going to be 32 and 33! Inconceivable!

Lee, do you want to run it through elfster? I can walk you through administering from there and could help mark it such that no one who has done the gift exchange could get anyone they have had for the last few years. I hope some new participants will join the shenanigans

I would be happy to be organizer, so that would be excellent!

(unless you want to, of course, but I figure you are due for a break)

Cool! I am about to take my second dose of Benedryl, so please don't be offended if I don't respond until tomorrow.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

OMG! OMG! OMG!

My Secret Santa has revealed herself with style! It's the lovely and sneaky smonster!!!!

I just opened my box full of wonder! First, everything has a Christmukkah tag on it! Then the first packet is Mardi Gras in a pouch!

There's a beautiful blue bead necklace with an emblem of Thoth - which totally cracked me up because one of the callers on Wait, Wait, Don't tell Me this week was a member of the Thoth crew and Peter Sagal had so much trouble with the concept that it became a running joke for the rest of the show!

But, wait, there's more...another necklace of multi-colored beads and 2 ingenious skulls from a cork and bottle cap with Skinz n Bonez emblazoned on them, and lastly a plastic ring with yellow, purple and green on it that I assume means something...

And then, there is a magnet framed picture of 2 robots on a scooter riding past giant cupcakes that I think I should recognize but don't, but I don't care because it looks home-made and I love it!

Then there is a beautiful giant coaster with an owl picture, the kind of owl that has a white face but the rest is darker...I love it too!

And there's a cd of songs! smonster made me a mix tape! It's called quester fest! I don't recognize any of the artists, but I'm listening to it now and it's fun! It's like New Orleans on a disk!

Finally, a carefully wrapped ornament. It's a clear glass bulb with a peacock feather inside it! Gorgeous!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, my precious, tricksy Secret Santa smonster!
