Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I just clicked through to this Us Magazine page with a picture of Beyonce and Jay-Z hugging last night, and....it was taken by a prodigal Buffista! [link] Bananas.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was all WHERE WHERE. Turns out reading the article at the link made the difference. I had previously tried to achieve knowledge by reading everything else.

"Credit: Instagram" does seem like a load of shit, but probably also in line with their TOS.

hip deep in pie

Those pop-ups that ask you follow a page on Twitter or like it on FB make me want to punch the internet in the face.

This makes it seem like there's no reason not to credit Jo, especially since they interviewed her (or read her post, whatev):

Instagram does not claim ownership of any Content that you post on or through the Service. Instead, you hereby grant to Instagram a non-exclusive, fully paid and royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use the Content that you post on or through the Service

Yes, and I wish I had a reasonable way to communicate that. There are also increasing numbers of Android apps that ask you to rate them in their market, but ratings now publish your full name, so that's not happening again, ever, since that email account is one I do associate with my real name.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, no! I just made the most delicious grilled ham and cheese sandwich in my personal history. It was so good. And since I know the ingredient combination I am doomed to eat it again and again for the rest of my life.

Not So Secret Recipe:

2 pieces whole wheat bread
1 slice of Havarti
3 thin slices of Black Forest Ham
thin sliced pieces of roasted bell pepper
TJ's Pub Cheese
Dijon Mustard
butter

Assemblage is up to you, though obviously the closer you have the cheese to the bread the meltier it will get. I did Havarti on one side, spread the pub cheese on the other. Roasted peppers in the middle.

Mustard just on one interior side.

Heat the ham first in the pan.

Plenty of butter to cook it in.

Press the hell out of it with a pan lid, or Grill Press (if you have such)

So melty. So good.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

True Facts about Bears.

Stephen Colbert would disagree with the non-polar bear sections of that one.

I am in so much trouble.

There was a mistake made in my big deployment on the 27th that became a big deal after a change I managed this weekend, and I would theoretically have caught it yesterday if I had my head in the game and not in the hospital.

Never mind, I've gotten managerial approval for a decision I think my boss will hate, and the meeting we have every Wednesday is going to be AWFUL. I predict excoriation.

Whew. Release testing finally eased the fuck up. Just waiting on a couple of test batches now. Dear lord that was painful. It didn't help that I shot myself in the foot on Friday by messing up one of the environments, but I was able to get it back up and running this morning.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I need to find a website that tells you which songs were used in which movies and TV shows. I'd love to see Hallelujah go up against In The Air Tonight, and I'm curious about covers and how they affect the numbers. But I think Phil Collins clearly has the Best Song In Ever judging by the moments in which it's used.

And the Iz version of Over the Rainbow.

Those pop-ups that ask you follow a page on Twitter or like it on FB make me want to punch the internet in the face.

Yes! And any pop-up ad that is on top of what I'm reading/watching.

Remember that show I did in DC last year? I just found out that it received Helen Hayes Award nominations for direction, scenery, and lighting! And the show is the highest grossing non-musical in that theatre's history.
