I am starting to get excited about Thanksgiving. I am making the pumpkin pie and cranberry salad.
I may also make Mama Stamberg's Cranberry relish finally - I need to at least try it. [link]
I also think I am going to do some yarn work this weekend and get at least one of the knitted ornaments I started last year completed. I'd love to have one knitted or crocheted item for each family member this year - ornaments are about all I could hope to finish in time.
Did you guys see this story about a man encountering his doppelganger in a 16th century painting at the Philadelphia Museum of Art?
That reminded me of the "Keanu is a vampire" tumblr post: [link]
a friend of mine in nyc had pics of this painting: [link]
It looked shockingly like her greek/Italian father as a child.
oh, I found a pretty: [link]
In high school once, a few of us were looking through an art book in the library, trying to find something to use to illustrate a French project, and we found a painting from the 1600s that looked exactly like our history teacher.
Congratulations, Nilly and family!!!
We're having Thanksgiving at Mom's. I'll be making butternut squash soup, the brown butter and sage sauce for the pumpkin ravioli, and brownies.
Happy Birthday, sumi!
Congratulations, Nilly and family!
I made a pumpkin pie last night and brought it in to work. My co-workers are like piranhas whenever someone brings in food. It's hilarious.
