But for whatever reason, this year now PT is covered even if it is not post-surgery.
Probably has something to do with Obamacare.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I need to throw out a FUCK CANCER. I'm in the office today and found out a gal who sits near me just got a stage 4 diagnosis. Another gal is sending me the Caring Bridge link. FUCK, FUCK, FUCK.
Steph,
I think it has more to do with insurance companies finally realizing that good PT treatment reduces long-term costs.
Amy,
I specifically chose Blue Cross (and have had it since I have been a working adult) because it gives me flexibility. Stupid.
In further health industry dysfunction, the company of sleep health centers I've been seeing has closed done suddenly and permanently; all appointments cancelled. I found out via a robocall Monday. Some people found out when they showed up for appointments on Friday and found the doors locked and a flyer in the window of the various locations.
Once I started using the CPAP I didn't get a lot out of the bi-annual (later annual) visits, but after my last visit I was setting up a series of behavioral therapy sessions to further help with insomnia that were starting next week. While the CPAP has helped the apnea, it isn't quite cutting it on the insomnia, though it is better than it has been. Oh well. I'll have to talk to my PCP about if there are other options, as I probably do need such a place to at least get supplies for the machine.
Allyson, have you asked if your PCP can put in the referral for you? Sending you strength-to-get-this-sorted-out vibes.
Good luck, Allyson, I can't believe Kaiser is giving you such a runaround.
As for me, consistent with their history, my employer has announced that at 8AM tomorrow I will be interviewing for the job I've done for the last six years.
On the telephone, because the other applicants were interviewed on the phone and I shouldn't get special treatment because I'm local.
I can't even. (As they say.)
I shouldn't get special treatment because I'm local.
Well, I totally agree with them there. I think you should get special treatment because you've already been doing the job for six years.
'Suela, then you should definitely do the interview from home in your bunny slippers and inside pants . . .
Also, I don't think I've ever done a phone interview where I didn't flip the interviewer the bird at some point.
Well, Consuela--clearly it's because reasons.
As they also say.
I just troubleshot a customer problem that wasn't my team's problem, and the people that forwarded it to me are being snippy because it was their error. They have found a second one that's our problem, but if they don't tell me about it I am hardly going to research it, am I? I'm only researching the one I got info for.
His apology? "I love you--I'm not trying to break your balls."
Uh, no? This is the same guy who kinda asked me out, and no. Don't be nice.
In continuing mixed messages, I just gave a picture of Castiel to a (different) co-worker. It was intended as umbrage (see what I had the time to do while waiting for you to restore my access??) but upon instant reflection, that's not what that looks like.
I never gave the balls guys any pictures of angels, though. Also, I'm practicing speed drawing. He's lucky he didn't get my official (slashy) sketch topic of the month.
I did tell him he could toss it without fear of rancour or repercussions.
I believe in the naked interview, myself.
