anyone recommend options for congestion?
Steam. I have a steam gadget, but you can put your head over hot water and hold the steam in with a towel over your head. A hot shower can do it too. My approach is to clear out my nose, then use a nasal spray decongestant.

I have a humidifier, but I felt like that was clogging up my nose, not helping, but you know, I'll try it again tonight. I don't want to be stubborn.
I will also try a shower. the last one I took, my nose started bleeding, but since I'm taking meds, maybe that won't be a problem.
I hate sticking things up my nose but see my note on stubbornness. I will try that too.

I'll second the bowl of steam. I usually throw in a tea bag with a strong scent and sage or something that my nose will recognize. Then hold it in your lap and put a big towel over your head so you're inhaling as much steam as possible. It'll make your nose run.
Also, hot and sour soup will make your nose run. And I find the hotness feels good on an irritated throat.

I just remembered--I used to treat my headache by inhaling menthol steam back when I was ten or so. I wonder if I could pick that up again?
Have you guys seen the VW ad? I am not feeling the accusation of racism on this one, no matter what Andrew Ti says. I would so much rather people hear that patois than any I've seen on TV in forever.
