Happy Birthday, Anne!
I did my occasional peek at ITER news (the fusion reactor being built in France www.iter.org) and found out they started on the reactor building. It's cool to see fusion power progressing along. ITER is supposed to produce 500MW of power for 50MW of input. On the flip side, it's a little discouraging to see that between LHC and ITER Europe is kicking our ass in several areas of important science.
ABC picked up this pilot:
"Gothica" is a supernatural, gothic, soapy drama set in the present day but featuring many of the monsters of the 19th century. Legendary figures like Dracula, Dorian Gray, Frankenstein (not sure if it's the monster or the man), and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde all feature. This project, written by Matt Lopez, resembles "Penny Dreadful," a series ordered by Showtime. That series uses many of the same gothic characters but is set in Victorian London.

The happiest of birthdays to you, Anne!
Has anyone seen my motivation? It has completely departed. Not a shred left.
I think it's in K-Bug's room planning where to hang the posters of Jensen.
Why hold, people, why??? Do people not know which activities put the hold music on for the rest of the participants? At least it's just the start of the meeting with people getting settled and conferencing others in, since we have more phone attendees than slots in the con call. It's called
hold
music. There's your first cue. It's
not
called mute music.
