I'm fairly certain I said no interruptions.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

She knew a lot of people and her family would appreciate that, I suspect.

Was her family aware of her active online life? I know that if I died, my parents would have no idea that there are just as many, if not more, People on the Internet as people in real life who would care. I hope her family understands how loved she was by people who never met her.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Was her family aware of her active online life?

I believe so. She was a writer and lived in LA for a long time, and hung out with TV writers: fandom was very much overlapping with her offline life.

In fact, at one point she lived with the guy who played the Uruk-Hai Lurtz in the Tolkein movies.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, good luck with everything, ita.

How do we get to the root of what causes this culture of violence?

Absolutely.

In much lighter news, I am feeling good about myself for having delegated the tiniest task. I hate not having any direct reports, but having people around who can do things for me -- it always feels like a favor.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Fingers crossed ita, I hope the home health care nurse comes through for you.

Seen on another board: Live life so fully that the Westboro Baptist Church protests at your funeral.

I like it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Congrats, Amy!

I need to pack, as I am flying to Seattle tomorrow evening to attend Conflikt.(A relatively new filk convention I've not been able to get to, for various reasons, until this year.) It's supposed to snow starting tomorrow afternoon. With luck, it won't snow much.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

ita ! I hope insurance covers the nurse. That sounds like a good solution

Nothing like donating blood to remind a gal of her non-existent sex life. I swear, half the questions started with "In the past 12 months, have you had sexual contact with..." No, no sexual contact. Nope. On the plus side, my iron level was good enough to donate.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah. "Can I just give you a blanket no??"

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I kind of miss being able to donate blood. Not that I did it enough when I could, but it makes me oddly sad that I can't.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I'd like to donate blood now that I can, but after my traumatic experience with a mobile blood drive, my blood pressure has been too high the last two times I've tried.
