Man, Hec, that is awful! Also, I think of it as one of the "safer" BART stations: it's hardly West Oakland or Fruitvale (ironically the station I use the most frequently).

In other news, I'm having a hell of a day.
I'm an hour late to work because I spent some time on Facebook this morning.
My work computer is broken again.
And I was on FB this morning because I woke up to learn that an online friend of more than a decade died in her sleep this week. She was, at most, 37. (Dana, Shrift--if you hadn't heard, it was Sabine, from YV.)
Fuck this day.

It's not vertical writing, really. A "vertical" is just a content area, as Jesse and Jessica said. It's a stupid buzzword, too!
So when he asked what vertical you were most comfortable writing, were you supposed to answer with a measurement (like, inches)?
Sometimes disability-rights people call ABs verticals...imagine my confusion.

Huh. And I actually work for (or should I say "am aligned with") an "industry vertical". Though at least that is in a longstanding sense of the word. Or so I tell myself.
