My company is having a huge reorg, but I think it's a good thing. For once they will be cutting managers rather than peons! They showed that in 2011, each manager had an average of 4 direct reports (industry standard is 8). In 2012? 3 direct reports! The new CEO was like, "I guess we were going for a 1:1 ratio next year." Hahahahahaha! Anyway I think this will be change for the better. I was really happy with the direction in which he wants to move the company.

Thanks, everyone. I just hope I can, you know, do it and not screw up. Everyone there is younger than me by about twenty years, and the guy interviewing me asked "what vertical I was most comfortable writing," and I actually stared at him blankly for a minute.
But I'm pretty good at making stuff up, and I know how to pad anything to get 200 more words into it, so. Wish me luck!
