"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So, folks (paging Hec!), I need a new haircut.

Your hair is a lot curlier than Julia Stiles, though, right?

I'll look for some cuts that would work with your hair. Gimme a bit...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My first thought, though, Kate is that Something like Ashley Judd's shorter hairstyle would work well for you. (Plus, no part.)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Also, Audrey Tatou.

(Remember when we spotted her in the village, Jess?)

Really cute. (again no part)

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

And now that I've gone back to the stuff I skipped... Consuela, that sucks. I am so sorry you are still dealing with the bullshit.

Because books.

Mine is so easy. I make shit up and sometimes get paid for it if I write it down pretty. And sometimes I make sure stuff other people wrote is written pretty.

Sparky, that's awful. It's amazing to me how many professional adults are just completely clueless.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I knew you'd come through for me! Those are excellent suggestions. I especially like Audrey Tatou's look.

Your hair is a lot curlier than Julia Stiles, though, right?

It's not super curly. I think of it as more wavy than curly, though with product I can sometimes get it curlier. Possibly it's curlier when it's shorter, too.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I totally just tried celebrity hairs on my face and am more and more convinced I'm going to get bangs. [link]

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am impressed that computer is a valid word for that exercise, and machine isn't.

I was a bit surprised at some of the words that didn't make the list. Like "write" was good but "writing" was not, "teacher" was there but "teach" wasn't.

That Ashley Judd cut is adorable. It's not unlike my last short haircut, with the exception that her hair has probably had blow dryers and hot rollers and primping stylists all over it. Wake and wear has a whole other vibe to it.

more convinced I'm going to get bangs.

So much fun to contemplate a new look! I think they'd be cute on you.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You know, maybe the reason I am wondering overhard why no lesbians hit on me (well, in the last 20 years), is because my sister is showered with gay vadge. She's contemplating going femme to stop lesbian students from giving her gifts and telling her she's beautiful. I...it's not gonna work. Whatever she's got is unlikely to go away.

A Deadspin commenter had the funniest rejoinder to a post on his coming clean:

Deadspin: "this time he says he flat-out lied. "Briefly." For six weeks."
Commenter: To be fair, using the SI unit for "duration of a lie," he only lied for about 0.015 Armstrongs.
