Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Suzi, bedbugs can be so frustrating. You should feel free to vent as needed!
And thanks, Steph. I thought Pearls was right but I'm glad to confirm that before I send her off looking for it.
Frustrating is the word of the day. Still no sign of the pest control guy. Grrrrrrrrr.
Boss hasn't returned yet with the space heater but I put on my sweatshirt and (after four cups of tea) I finally feel warm.
Today is the first day it really feels like winter, here. There is no temperature I can set the thermostat that keeps the ground floor warm without making the upstairs stifling. Once again I thank my lucky stars that I don't have to leave the house to go to work. I'm grumpy enough as it is.
I am amazed that all 2 story houses do not have doors between floors - I have too small of a range for acceptable indoor temperature.
This is a random post.
We are having a huge reorg at work tomorrow (like the whole company will be affected) and I'm a bit stressed. I won't lose my job or anything (according to my boss), but there are big changes afoot.
This child in my womb is moving around like whoa and it's freaking me out. #alienbaby
Who do you call/what does it cost to have someone come and assess a room and help you figure out how to organize/furnish it? We are going to be moving my office into our master bedroom and I don't want it to be a huge mess. The room is really large so I know this can work, but I'm having trouble imagining how. I work from home, so it's kind of important to me to have a comfortable space.
Told you - random.
Thanks for those links, sumi.
I'm doing an experiment that's possibly ill-timed, but...
When I told my neuro I was having difficulty seeing, his initial response was "You're 44." I said I was still concerned, because the loss of vision was not gradual--it was intermittent, and quite dramatic. He explained how lenses fail, and how it's not a slow crawl towards blindness, but...last time I had dramatic sight problems, they took me off morphine and boom! Back to single vision. Then he mentioned topamax would the likely culprit, if it wasn't my extremely advanced age.
I stopped taking topamax Sunday since I have an optician's appointment today--it seemed sensible that I should see hime with my eyes doing their stuff, not the meds. Perhaps coincidentally, my vision is pretty decent. Not as good as it was five years ago, but I'm not expecting it to be. But I can read things at arm's length without a magnifying glass, which I think is fair, considering.
Why topamax suddenly, if that's the culprit? Dunno. What will stopping topamax do to my migraines? Dunno. Should I be getting glasses for my topamax blindness instead of this? I really dunno.
It seemed like a good idea at the time. I'll go back on it when I get back from the appointment.

An organizer/planner/decorator/stager, I guess. The folks who are staging my folks' condo for sale also moved them into the new assisted living place, and they organized/decorated the apartment wonderfully.
Good luck with the reorg, Glamcookie.
