No dolphin for you!
I have Seinfeld on the brain because I just realised that Linda Tran from SPN was Ross' Julie (the other ethnic person in NY, the one that's not a superspy now--she's a monster masher).
So, uh, old NY sitcoms.
What sitcoms right now are really NY-bound? 30 Rock, clearly--is location very intrinsic in HIMYM? It seems to be the point of every other joke on 2 Broke Girls, but I'm not quite sure what's a joke on 2 Broke Girls, so that's complicated to calculate.

Oh, yes.
The Mindy Project is set in NY, but I'm not sure how vital that is. And Apt 23 is pretty explicitly about living in NYC.
Anyone heard from Allyson today? She posted on LJ and sounds really depressed. I don't know how private she wants it to be, but I'm worried about her.
OMG, I feel like I've already had a full day, and I only just got to work. Woke up at ~5:30 to my father tramping around the apartment, including opening the door to the room I was sleeping in. Got up 6ish, dawdled around a little, went to shovel, and....there was no snow. I mean,
maybe
an inch. But we swept off the stairs and sidewalk, at least. Then ready for work, swung by my place and dawdled some more, then my shuttle to work couldn't leave because we were boxed in by beer delivery trucks.
Now I want a nap.

It was in the first couple of seasons, before the show got really terrible.

Boy, is it cold out this morning.
DO NOT WANT to go outside. -1 right now.
Unfortunately the dog has a different perspective. Stupid dog.
Damn, that's cold. It almost never gets below zero here, and I am grateful! I guess we'll have that weather tomorrow, but even then it will be a low of 5, they are saying.
Roker's reaction is the funniest goddamn thing I've ever seen.
OK, I finally saw that, and I feel like more people should have the chance to literally drop the mike and walk away. Because it is golden.

Since I grew up in Wisconsin and lived in Mpls, I've decided long ago that I won't complain about how cold it is unless it gets to 0. (Also, "really cold" = -20 or colder.)
Actually, the worst thing about the cold for me is that it's cold in our office. Their furnace just can't keep up, so I'm wearing a t-shirt, long underwear top, thick wool sweater and insulated jacket and boots at my desk, and I'm still a little cold. Well, I brought an extra sweatshirt so I may add that into the mix.
