Gavin, ask yourself this question. What are you more afraid of, a giant murderous demon or me?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

My sister watered her St. Bernard outside. It was the only way.

brillig

A dog you can use as a roving end table is useful.

Other than the drool, it's the non-retracting nails on dogs that I don't like. Cats have soft ends--when they're not annoyed with you--and they don't hurt--generally--when they jump in your lap. Even trimmed, dog claws hurt.

The status is NOT quo.

My big dogs don't drool much at all. We keep their nails trimmed, but honestly it would hurt if they attempted to jump in my lap just because of their size! I doubt I'd notice their nails. My cats, otoh, are in desperate need of a nail trim. Even retracted they hurt these days! Oh things I don't enjoy doing...trimming cat nails...

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am afraid to trim my dog's nails. The cats are a PITA, but I can do it.

I guess I should make a vet appt for Bailey since she's been with us like 3 mos now. I'll have them trim her nails. Poor dog also needs a bath.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, it just occured to me that 3-5 inches of snow overnight means I should probably bring boots to my parents' for wearing in the morning. That would have been awesome to forget.

Trust my rage

I wish my boss would just deal with calling the US embassy for his visa appointment himself

He should hire me! I do this all day long!!

The status is NOT quo.

I have the groomer grind the dogs' nails. I don't trust myself to do them either. They grow much more slowly than cat nails, thankfully.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The drool thing definitely is worse for some breeds than others, even among big dogs. I only deal with drool when Darby gets slathered at the park.

Darby gets her nails done at the vet. I'm not touching them.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Yeah, it's definitely about how floppy the dog's lips are, not how big the dog is -- there are a ton of dry-mouthed big breeds. It's just that if it's big AND drooly, you have volume issues.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am chicken about clipping the cats claws, especially Dita's. I think Bubba might actually like it, until the first time I hurt him accidentally, and then all bets are off.

I did a couple of hours of weeding yesterday, and am very stiff today, which makes me really not want to deal with the fact that Bubba got into the box of cat litter last night.

Maybe after lunch.
