Back from an ER vet run. Devi's breathing was freaking me out. I think it ended up more to ease me than anything. Yes, she sounds awful, but is in fact breathing. Basically the next step would be what I'd already discussed with my vet (xrays) if the anti-bs don't work. But the gave me pred in case it is just swelling. So we'll see.

Didn't swim because I wasted the day weepily watching my cat breathe and was actually afraid to leave her and now it is too late. In retrospect, not the mentally healthiest choice for me.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

That video is indeed WTF, but I'm delighted by the description which describes it as a word for word re-enactment of Susan Powter's video. Just hilarious.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But the gave me pred in case it is just swelling.

If you ever need more, I can send you some....

I just took a yoga class that fucking kicked my ass. I don't even know what happened in there. I guess I should go back next week?

"Arbitrary." Nice.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The best headlines are the ones where you have to specify that it's not the Onion. And anyway, don't we all want to scratch "arbitrary" into luxury cars from time to time?

Okay, I finished transferring the loops files. I moved the pile of mail from the studio to the dining room table (yes, flylady, I know, but at least that's a hotspot where there is an actual plan to deal with it in the schedule). I cleared and tidied most of the studio. It was actually in great shape since the SO'd been working on it. I think I'll put the interface rack on the shelf of the desk where the DAW is now. He'll probably want to make it more prominent later, but I know he'll want to have them adjacent when burning off wavs to transfer. And I cleared space on the oak shelf (one of the two I built as a kid, was it flea whose son was excited about building furniture?) for the laptop. As long as I have a long enough USB that should work.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Next up, feed the dog, finish up the gear move, take a bath. Then some more admin work, and then I'll play with the stems I got from our buddies' band.

Trust my rage

The house is decorated, cake made, drinks bought, and we are ready for Sammy's party. Oh! I just now realized that I didn't buy him a present. Oops, but he'll never know. I buy him stff all the time. The only thig left is toy clean up but that will wait until bed time. Hosting parties makes me nervous but I feel okay for this one.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I've done stuff today, but it's all been sedentary--haircut, work, bills, etc.

Fitbit is not happy with me today.
