My tables are so normalized, they're normalized up the butt. They're, like, so fucking Third Normal Form you wouldn't believe it.

Anyway, the SQL Server Browser service identifies the SQL servers running on our server. At least it's supposed to, but it's only identifying one of them, the bastard.

But we are doing this again next week. The bathroom didn't work well. I can't imagine her carrier being any better.
I don't know if this is an option, but whenever we needed the cats out of the way, we'd take them to a groomer for the day. They'd get shampooed and fluffed, and pick-up was usually pretty flexible.

Anyway, it amuses me how little database theory I hear in the real world. (Or at least in the database circles I move in. I don't think any of our clients have any really skilled DBAs.)

All I know about SQL is what information to fill in on the installation screen. When it fails, I uninstall and try again, then yell for help, and we can then say "It's Windows' fault."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
One thing I don't know about SQL is how to install the client. Since I got this laptop I've been a bit coy about getting it installed--I believe my job description shouldn't have SQL in it, but that's because the data in our app should be accessed through the interface, not from around back. That always ends in tears.
I'm not entirely sure where my department is. There computers are here and on, but I've been here over half an hour, and no one.
I guess I could catch up on email.

One thing I don't know about SQL is how to install the client.
This is for MS SQL Server, right? To install the client, you have to use the server installation file. At some point in the installation process you specify the client software and not the actual server. Not exactly the most intuitive process. (I think the server won't actually install unless you're on a MS server OS.)
