oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

from a non-plumber that does plumbing - drano and that ilk are fine -- they are just stong bases. There are other things - strong acids - that will hurt your pipes

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

A cowboy hat?

Somehow I don't think that will do it....

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Meanwhile, it is super hot here! 50 degrees!

It is all the way up to 20 here now, and that's after the sun's been out all day.

This was all the more fraught because the SO is hunting out of cel phone range and therefore unavailable to bitch to. So glad I have you guys!

Anyway, I'm totally making myself comfort food, new way of eating be damned, and watching football.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It is unclogged. And I did use Drano but it's done.

Took the whole bottle and two kettles of hot water and vigorous plunging. But I did run hot water for a long time after.

Hey, so while we're talking about stuff you're not supposed to put down your drains, am I not supposed to put my coffee grounds down my drain since I have a septic tank? And if so, why is that?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I was always told no coffee grounds into a septic tank, but I don't know if that's a real thing or just my dad being paranoid.

brillig

We actually broke freezing here, but I think that's because whatever thermometer my online weather thingie is using is in sunlight. If the clouds roll over, coats get yanked closed real fast. Bright sunny days, though, lead to ass-chilling nights. No wonder the cat is sleeping with us and demanding to come under the covers.

Our wings are not tired.

It is unclogged.
