Hooray food!
working and watching football. I hate formatting ppts on a laptop, much less a single screen. I am not sure how I ever worked daily on a single laptop screen.
Onion and garlic are both legit bagel flavors in my book, but I'd rather have sesame. Mmm.
I need to expand my bagel horizons now that Juniors has closed. It's bagels were never the best anyway, but their cream cheese and lox could hold their own. For now, I guess I'll go back to my old standby of Fred's Bakery.
meara, I thought you meant they were out, or something--that you had a valid expectation of it. I've also never seen "wheat" bagels, but I suppose it's not awful.
So not a not an "eat a muffin, Whitey" thing.
Once you put the modifier Montreal in front of it, I don't care how many rabbis bless any given flavour, it's not relevant to authenticity.
Someday I will have to go to Montreal and try some bagels so I can know what you people are talking about.
I'm occasionally watching football when it occurs to me. I can't believe I'm rooting for the Broncos. What a world.
Speaking of fake bagels--although I will not venture out of bounds when it comes to varieties, I did just buy a bag of pre-sliced mini bagels. But they're a transport medium for the jams I bought in JA--my standard of guava jam, but I also picked up pineapple guava jam, and sorrel jam, and they looked like the most neutral (read: like hard dough bread) thing to taste test on.
So far I've just been stuffing my face with the one I already am familiar with.
Let me get off hiney, stat.

Or you could come visit me!
I was rather disappointed in my roommate, though--she ALSO decided to go to the bagel place (amusing, since we didn't discuss it, and I don't think either of us has been there in months), and she bought plain ones, but then lamented the lack of "sweet" bagels. I refrained from telling her to eat a muffin, but may have to later. (We went separately--I'd just gotten home when she rolled up with a bag of bagels!)
I'll make you dumplings, you can fed me bagels, it'll be a carbalicious holiday in Seattle! One of these days, meara, gotta make that happen.
I have listed something on eBay. I would like msbelle to praise me. And I am watching two other items to see if selling would be worth my time right now. No! Three other items.
