My walls are key--for pictures of the Winchesters, and also for information I need to be able to rattle off or refer to constantly that is too much for my dual monitor setup, even. Also to keep people from seeing my eyes when they glaze over or tear up.
I have a conviction that they baffle sound, but I have no real idea if it's significant. And, seriously, if I could see some of these people more, I might go all msbelle and cut a bitch.
Som--home office workers, what does
your
office look like? Technically my company is supposed to assess my work layout, and if they needed info, I'd take pictures of my desk in my bedroom with the desktops on it.
In reality, I'm curled up on my cuddle lounge (ergonomic schmergonomics) with three laptops (one on the lap) and multiple other devices.
When I work from home, 99.8% of the time I'm on the couch in my same butt groove as always, with the laptop (and probably a cat trying to steal heat from the laptop).

This is my work from home mode too. Though there are usually two cats vying for human contact and laptop heat.
For me to be an official tele-worker, I need to provide pictures of a desk with an ergonomic chair and a nearby outlet with a surge protector. If I end up going that route, I'll take pictures at CJ's desk. His chair is actually a fancy ergonomic chair from my old office.
If wearing watches was a thing I did, I'd like to do it like this: [link]
In other news, why do some people insist that coming into their line of sight is not just permission for them to put their opinions
about you
into your space, it's a near responsibility. Because it's boolean--you're either home alone, and doing whatever for yourself, or you're outside your house and therefore ever Tom, Jerk, or Harry gets to weigh in with
anything.
It's not that it could happen some other guy might do it...it's that it
will
happen, because, dammit, you gave him the right to it, and rights should not go unexercised.
I am making dorkishly elaborate plans to see a movie with myself tomorrow afternoon. We'll see if I make it!
Yesterday, I had both laptops in front of one of my red chairs and had good posture.
Today I lay on the couch and employed an ergonomic heated wrist-rest (aka Loki) and was firmly held in place with a safety harness (Devi across my ankles.)
I have an office with desk at home, but more often I am in comfy chair with feet up on coffee table and laptop in lap. Or at outside table with laptop. Sometimes I go to the office when I need to focus and other times I go home if I need focus. It could be just a change of scene is required.
Ooh, I should go see a movie with myself tomorrow! Maybe I could make it my reward for getting my flu shot. And then I could go to the grocery and buy lots more berries and cheese, because when does anyone ever have enough berries and cheese?
My first ever job was in a Japanese company, so it was all very open space, egalitarian, etc. The only difference between the desk belonging to the young man who was heir to the throne and head honcho of all things North American and mine was that his faced the open office with his back to the wall, and mine, like everyone else's, faced his. So there was one long line of the presidents and department heads and whatnot, facing into the room, and everybody else's desk faced theirs. No walls, just desks. Filing cabinets along the walls. There was even a long window along one wall into the manufacturing area.
I didn't mind, though, because I didn't know any better. Plus I'm inherently nosy.
Now I have a super nice office room (with a closeable, lockable door, not that I need it) and the SO has his studio. We both love our spaces very much. Mine is usually a wreck, but it's near pristine right now because the SO reorged it for me, bless his heart, while I was gone.
But yeah, right now I'm totally hanging out in front of the fire with my laptop. Although I'm not working at the moment.

This link just goes to mypcbackup.
Watch backup. Which would be, I don't know, a sundial.
