I couldn't believe it the first twenty times you told us, but it's starting to sink in now.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

In shopping terms, I made it to REI, TJ's, Guitar Center, and Ulta. Blew about $120 at Ulta, but the Smashbox foundation I got in a kit there I think doesn't have the little tube that lets it actually pump. I am unsure what to do about this. Plus I bought medium, and I probably need the next lighter shade. But it is in ABQ and I am here, so I dunno what my exchange options are.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Liese, thank you. I'm not saying no to anything at this point. For once, I'm trying to go with my gut feeling instead of overthinking it to death.

OMG, did we know there is such a thing as a hierarchy to what order you list people in the TO line in an email?

Huh. I've always done that. Don't care about it, but I do it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I do it too. I'm not sure why.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I also do it- Deans, then directors, the professors, then professional staff then support staff then students.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If I'm emailing someone *really* high up, I'll put them either first (so they don't think they were an afterthought) or else in the CC field (so they'll know it's just an FYI and not something they need to respond to). But I've never thought of it in any kind of formal way.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I most of the time do it, then when mad at my boss I put him last.

Yeah, your gut is pretty smart. But seriously, you are totally welcome here, although of course not obligated in any way. I don't mean that in a "sure, come out anytime" way, but really really. We'll be as intrusive or non-intrusive as you want, and like I say, you can come out when we're not here too. All we're going to be doing is tromping around the outdoors a bunch and probably watching hockey now that there's going to be some. I can even set you up with my trainer!

Yeah, I definitely don't hierarch anyone in my lists. If I'm paying any attention at all, it'll be in alphabetical order because that's how it is in the contact list, but that's it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The Dolly Sisters, Studio Manasse

The Dolly Sisters were popular vaudeville performers (I had to google them).

It's a cool picture of some cool vaudevillians with cool hair. Probably Hec would like it.

Natural selection for you.

NOAA says it is 40 degrees and breezy. My window tells me it is SNOWING and windy as all git out. Not going to poke my head out the door, but I'm willing to bet it is cold as crap too.
