Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OOh, good one!

Staying home is a good call, Sara.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Man, I should have stayed home, I was 30 minutes late getting in adn am already crying at my desk. no reason. someone just asked me a simple calendarring question. I am pretty sure when asked anything that I am doing everything wrong, or have messed something up - that is not an effective mindset for work. I may have to leave.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I sold a mink coat I inherited from my godmother for about $5K in NYC about 10 or 15 years ago

Wow, that's a lot! Thanks, Sparky! Also, the theater thing sounds cool.

And oooh, Betty White! Very cool.

Aw, msbelle! You are not doing everything wrong. And also can leave if you need to.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Chez Suzi adventures continue. The blowers are....blowing. I'd go into the office or work from Starbucks today, but pest control is supposed to come by today. They have been out twice before to try to figure out what is eating K-Bug. She has caught a couple of bugs over the last few days, one in her room and this morning in my shower (!!!). So, I need to be here so I can approve whatever needs to happen and deal with the cats.

K-Bug is certain that they are bed bugs. But she is the only one being eaten and this is the first time we have found anything other than a spider. We have checked her mattress and box springs multiple times for the typical signs without any luck. So who knows what is going on.

The house is a mess, mostly from relocating stuff from yesterday's flood, the cats are already off kilter due to the blowers, and I am a whole pile of "don't wanna deal".

I should probably get dressed so I'm not "not dealing" in my robe when the pest guy shows up.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

K-Bug is certain that they are bed bugs. But she is the only one being eaten

Unless you are allergic to bed bugs (like I am, YAY) the bites are completely undetectable.

When we had bedbugs in our first apt, I was covered head to toe in red welty bite marks and DH wasn't even itchy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Home nurse just left. Apparently it only takes thirty minutes to get my whole life health story, including "claims of negative reaction to medication" and "why would a home nurse give me dosages the ER balks at?" I figured I'd get everything out there now, instead of letting her find stuff out and react to it where she couldn't ask me questions right away.

Thing is, though, it gave me a headache.

I should be hearing from her in a week or more.

Did she give you any sense of the workability of a home nurse and the treatment you need?

I have relocated to Starbucks. K-Bug wrote a note to the Pest Control guys, so hopefully that will get resolved without me. I just couldn't handle the blowers any more. If I could afford it, I'd book a hotel for tonoight if the blowers are still there this evening. More likely I'll double up on my Ativan and hope that knocks me out.

Art Crawl!!!

What?

I hope the librarians among us don't run into this gambit.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

As random as your treatment seems to be, ita !, I am hoping you can get care at home because if they authorize it at the actual dosage and pace that your doctor ordered, it might have a better chance of being carried out correctly.

When my washer lost it's mind and flooded my place (and, sadly, the walls below me in PDX), the blowers were awful. I mean, very needed and pretty efficient but oh that noise and it was constant.
