I took down some of the outside decorations, but I have not put them back in boxes and out to the garage. That would be next if I though mac was at all stable. But I think I'll figure out something else I can do while sitting here watching the game. All 13 figures are listed. There are other things in this box, I guess I can try to list them also.

Oh, this is rich. The TV Guide description for tonight's SciFi premiere The Dead is for the 1987 John Huston film. I dearly hope that at least one viewer tunes in expecting to see the adaptation of the James Joyce short story rather than the soldiers vs. zombies movie they're going to get.

Punishingly Intricate

I cleaned up the room of wrapping and put the remains in the basement or in the recycling depending on condition. Bob undecorated the little tree and took down some of the inside lights. Some we'll leave up because they are unobtrusive and cheery! I'm hoping the puppy is mature enough next year that we can get a real tree again. I missed having one this year! And really missed the opportunity to unwrap all of our ornaments not just the few we used on the little fake tree (adorable as it is).

I took my decorations down and put them in a plastic crate in the garage, did two loads of laundry, cleaned my kitchen, and made two loaves of cinnamon-raisin bread. Oh, and walked the dog for about 2.5 miles.

And finished my book for book club.

I should do more, but I'm laaazy. Last night I bought some wood at the store and I really want to start a fire: I've been in this house for 12 years and never had a fire in the fireplace.

hip deep in pie

XMas is down in my house. There are still pine needles to be vaccuumed.

In midlife crisis news, I bought a guitar yesterday. My fingertips are in so much pain.

I also went on a 3 mile-ish walk with a friend. It was a lovely day for it. I felt guilty about taking the dog, though, although she is under doctor's orders not to go on long walks for a few more days (after she got spayed last Wednesday).

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Today I: took down Xmas tree and decorations and put everything away; ate an amazing lunch; procured and ate king cake while catching up with smonster; wrote a blog post; enjoyed marital relations. I am pretty bummed about going back to work tomorrow, I was enjoying my other life as a freelance beer blogger.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Today I: hit the Wii Fit, took the dog for a walk (only half a mile, tomorrow we will jog and go farther), figured out what additional food I need to get through the week and went grocery shopping, changed the litter in the catboxes, loaded and unloaded the dishwasher a few times, watered the plants in the house and greenhouse, fed the birds, and watched Malcolm X. I still need to make dinner, take out the garbage, and take a shower. Maybe another round of dishes.

Tomorrow is all about laundry. And probably, Downton Abbey.

We took down the christmas tree last week, but then we broke the washer on Friday. We did disassemble the clutch and clean it thinking that might fix it. Alas it did not. the struts don't look broken, but it's still not working. I DO NOT want a broken washer.

In other news, between yesterday and today, I sewed 2 hospital gowns, and 3 pairs of pajamas (The PJs are for Noah, Grace and K and they all match).I have put my sewing machine away for a while as I am tired of sewing.

I also had the nicest chat at the gym. We've also been loading vocabulary into Grace's AAC device. The guy who owns Republic of Pie was thrilled that we made a special button just for them.

Now listing Enesco and a Boyd's Bear figurine. These items were donated to my church for a Holiday bazaar and did not sell, so they asked me to try and ebay. Just in case any of you collect Cherished Teddies or Calico Kittens, or might be interested in a figurine of a bear as Hamlet. Prince Hamalot (with that name I though he should be a pig, but no) with the words "To diet or not to diet" around the base.
