Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've jumped into nearly ice-cold water once, but there was a sauna next to the pool, which made it doable for me.

This was at a Russian bath house.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I did this at a house party around Thanksgiving one year. In Maine. Amazing how the whole pool generates a fog bank from all the steam that comes off of folks.

Apparently there was another party there around Xmas time where they had to cut holes in the ice to do it. I was NOT there for that one.

Why the pool wasn't drained for winter, I have no idea unless this was a thing to do for the family.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck with that, brenda!

On the local news the other day, they had some Russians doing a Polar Bear Plunge type of thing, and I couldn't figure out why they were showing it from Russia and not Boston, but whatever.

Wow! (Still pretty glad DH wasn't taking photos during either of my childrens' births though.)

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

That picture is cool.

A friend of mine had been taking pictures during CJ's birth (c-section)...but there was no film in the camera. Doh!

Coming into work has been good so far. My manager is here, so I got to touch base with him. One of the guys has a cooler of venison for me and one of my PM's sent me a box of Hawaiian Honey Coated Whole Macadamias in Premium Milk Chocolate. NOM!!!!!

And the gal who asked a few weeks back if I'd consider taking over her job has officially announced that she is retiring in June. I haven't heard a peep from anyone in the company, other than her, about the job. I really like what I'm doing now but if they make a good offer, I might consider shifting. But since she had annonced her retirement, I can only imagine the back channel gossip over who is going to replace her.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Sad to say, my first thought was not "Miracle of life!" but "Hey, that happened on House, too!"

You know, if you're confirming my order, and include the original correspondence, which includes no less than 5 instances of my name, as well as account number in my name alone, it might inspire a little more confidence if you don't open with the salutation "Hello Doug,"

Have to wait until I get home to check balance information.....
