Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Amych, that sounds...awkward.

Had a good today today. We walked to Starbucks in the AM -- the upside is that we walked a little over a mile there and then back. Then gym and then home. We watched Brave which made me cry. I read a book. It was all good.

The downside is that I did not get to see Burrell and family today.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Thanks all -- it's all of wonderful and awkward and weird. Overall really good, but I keep having moments of "whoa" that just kind of... sit there in my head resisting being anything more or less than "whoa".

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I'm composing an apologetic email to my landlord explaining that I totally forgot to schedule a rent payment and online banking takes forever to cut and send checks, ugh.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

it passed. so underwhelmed by the bill.

They're reporting it was 257-167. Anyone know how that breaks down between Republicans and Democrats?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Anyone know how that breaks down between Republicans and Democrats?

I think Pelosi kept all the Dems in lockstep.

So that's somewhere around half of the Republican Reps who voted no?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

From the article:

Eighty-five Republicans and 172 Democrats backed the bill, which had sailed through the Senate by a lopsided 89-8 margin shortly after 2 a.m. Opposition comprised 151 Republicans and 16 Democrats.
